Canadian Parliament – West Block

Ottawa, Canada

As the centerpiece of the current modernization and rehabilitation of Canadian Parliament’s West Block, the new Chamber of the House of Commons responds to a variety of conditions, from public visits to high definition television (HDTV) broadcasts of Parliament sessions. In line with this transformation, the broadcast-ready space will be entirely lit with LEDs—making it one of the first Chambers of this kind in the world. Coordination with daylight requirements ensure that natural light levels in the Chamber are regulated and balanced with architectural and TV broadcast lighting.
