The Tessellated Facade

The main attention of the storey-addition in Sistrans was to consider the noisy road on the back of the property in the construction phase. A special wish of the building-owners was to integrate a generous terrace to the house as well as to maintain a living in harmony with nature.

Main focus was the north-west side of the house. That is where the terrace, the balcony and a picture window for bright interior space are placed. The east side of the building has shifted windows and creates the tessellated facade. In addition the individual roof construction supports the overall picture of the project.
