The main requirement of the client, despite the very limited time and financial possibilities, was to create a hybrid space, a public gallery of sneakers culture that could simply be adapted to a diverse use. The space operates in two main modes: as a showroom/gallery and as a space for social events. Footshop is one of the gravitational centres of a broad and vibrant but predominantly digital commune of young people, which is coupled with the culture of sneakers. The real space of the showroom becomes a physical continuation of the digital space of this community.

The architectural design of the space supports the possibilities of developing these relationships in the material world. An important side effect in relation to the activation of the physical public space of this project is its openness and ability to motivate the participation of those who are not part of this community.
